Yellow giant hyssop
Sun/shade: Full sun to part shade
Soil moisture: Medium
Flowering period: August
Host plant for 3 caterpillar species
A non-aggressive mint that spreads slowly to create a dense clump. The flower spike opens just a few of its small yellow flowers at a time, extending the bloom over1-2 months. While not particularly showy, this long bloom attracts bees and butterflies with copious nectar.
